The motorhome home industry has dozens of Class A RV manufacturers with dozens of different models, floor plans available, and prices. In this post, I list the Top 10 Best Class A RVs that I think are worthy of your consideration if you are planning on buying one.
Class A RVs are often referred to as motorhomes or motorcoaches. They are constructed using a high-quality, strong, and heavy-duty frame. The frames are usually built on a commercial truck chassis or on a commercial bus chassis.
Class A RVs are not only some of the largest RVs they are also some of the most expensive, ranging in price from the mid 150K to well over one million dollars.

Top 10 Best Class A RVs
1. Tiffen Allegro Breeze
The Allegro Breeze is one of my favorite Tiffen Class A motorhomes and definitely one of the best Class A RV brands. There is a lot to like about the Allegro Breeze, and for me, it starts with its overall length.
I’ve been in motorhomes with a length of 44 feet (13.41 m) and they can be daunting to drive. The Allegro Breeze comes in at around 33 feet (10.06 m), which to me is a perfect size.
The Allegro Breeze is built on a PowerGlide chassis and is loaded with features and amenities. It comes with a queen-size bed and an optional dinette with a computer workstation. It is powered by a 340 HP Cummins B6.7 engine, putting out peak HP 340 HP @ 2,600 RPM. Here are some basic specifications of the Allegro Breeze 31 BR:

2. Newmar King Aire
The Newmar King Aire is one of the most luxurious and well-appointed Class A motorhomes on my list.
Yes, I chose the most expensive Class A motorhome Newmar has to offer to be on our best Class A RVS list, but I did so for a reason. It’s worth every penny….for those who can afford one. First off, there is no mistaking this is a top-of-the-line luxury motorcoach.
The Newmar King Aire is available in 3 distinctive floor plans.
This Class A has features you will not find on any other coach. For example, the seat covers are genuine Italian full-grain leather. You get powered theater seats with heat and massage. The theater seats are available as an option.
The kitchen has some of the nicest looking European-stile cabinets available with a Suede finish which is the standard on all King Aire. If you want a nicer finish you can opt for the Diamond Gloss finish which looks amazing.
The Newmar King Aire is power by a 605-horsepower Cummins X15 diesel engine with an engine torque rating of 1,950 lb-ft of torque.

3. Monaco Signature
The Monaco Coach Signature is significantly less than the King Aire above but that doesn’t mean it’s not a luxury experience. It is but just on a different level.
The Signature is available in 4 different layouts and includes very nice amenities. You will find Whirpool appliances under-chassis lighting, a full-tile shower, embroidered driver and passenger seat, and an In-motion satellite system.
Monaco motorhomes are built on the Freightliner ACM-Series Roadmaster chassis.
They are powered by a Cummins ISL9 450 HP engine coupled with an Allison 3000 MH 6-speed transmission with an electronic shifter. The engine can produce 1,250 lb-ft of torque at 1,400 RPM.
The cabinetry and trim are available in either maple or cherry wood. The interior decor is also available in two options, either Gold Reflection or Sterling Mist. They are both a subtle color palette with an understated elegance that I really like.
The exterior of the Monaco Signature is available in 4 paint schemes. They are Alpine Lush, Midnight Sky, Ocean Star, Summer Meadow. They are all very nice looking with the Midnight Sky being my favorite.
Inside you will find multiple sleeping options including a King bed in some floor plans, bunk beds, and pull-out sofas.
With some of the floorplans, you have a choice of a second bathroom with just a toilet and sink.
Other plans are similar as well as having other options you may find useful. Both the living room and bedroom are equipped with LED TV entertainment.

Monaco Signature Video Walkthrough
Reviews of the Monaco Signature on RVInsider are mixed. Owners either like it a lot or hate it a bunch. The rating for this model is over the last several years is 4.38. The price for the unit in the video is $309,500.
PS: When researching Monaco Coach I could not find any models built for 2020 and beyond. This might be due to Covid-19 issues or something else. This didn’t take away from adding it to my list as it is a very well-made Class A RV, and very well-reviewed by owners.
4. Fleetwood Bounder
According to Fleetwood RV, the Fleetwood Bounder was introduced over 35 years ago and is “The Greatest (selling RV) of All Time”. What makes the Bounder such a popular Class A RV? Let’s take a look at what you get.
The Bounder is available in 3 floorplans, the 33C, 35K, and the 36F. The exterior color scheme is available in 4 very nice-looking colors and graphics. The colors available are Blue Merle, Cinnaberry, Freedom, and Frosted Merlot.
The interior decor of the Fleetwood Bounder can be purchased in one of three palettes. The Intrigue, Sycamore, or Quicksilver.
The Bounder sits on the new Power Platform Ford Chassis. It’s powered by a 7.3L, 350-horsepower engine that delivers 468 lb/ft of torque. This is mated to a 6-speed TorgShift automatic transmission. This combination allows you to tow up to 8,000 lbs. That’s good for towing a car, or a boat.
Construction features include an interlocking floor, walls, and roof system with dry seal edge coating for all ceilings, walls, and floors.
The roof, sidewalls, and floor are Vacu-Boned aluminum frame construction. Underneath you’ll find full-coverage heavy-duty undercoating.

Review of this Class A RV average 4 stars. It seems that the most dissatisfaction is related to quality. Others buyers are very happy with the motorhome and love it.
Several Bounder owners state they love the washer/dryer combination and the half-bath.
The Fleetwood Bounder price starts at around $205,000 and goes up from there depending on the option you choose.
5. Winnebago Adventurer
The Winnebago Adventurer is available in five family-friendly floorplans. The plans all feature excellent living space and have a good amount of storage. The available floor plans are 27N, 29B, 30T, and 36Z.
The exterior comes Frost Gray, Nightshade, Sable, and Wedgewood. The interior palette is Cool Contrast, Gray Tones, and Sand Stone. All have full-body paint.
The Adventurer is built on the Ford F53 chassis and is powered by the popular 7.3 V6 engine coupled with the TorqShift 6-speed automatic transmission.
The Winnebago Adventurer like many of Winnebago’s Class A and Class B motorhomes are built on their SuperStructure. It’s an all-steel cab structure that is both strong and durable. There are 4-main components:

Winnebago Adventurer Video Walkthrough
On RVinsider the Adventurer get on average 4-stars. However, there are no reviews of recent models on the site. The latest review is from 2019 and it’s not very favorable.
However, that doesn’t mean this is a Class A RV you need to stay away from. Like all campers, they get good reviews and some not-so-good reviews. So why is it on my list? Because over the years it has shown to be a very good Class A.

Best Class A RVs Final Thoughts
Choosing the Top 5 Best Class A RVS was not an easy task. After all, there are dozen of models available and all have their strengths and weaknesses. You will also find those that simply love the brand and model whereas others are just the opposite.
Bottom line is that choosing the best Class A RVs can be very selective and depends on what the individual considers important, budget, and needs.
