Four Winds Introduction
The Thor Four Winds is a Class C motorhome perfect for small families and couples. It is easy to drive and suitable for a weekend getaway or a long vacation. It has excellent features, and the twelve available floor plans give you various seating arrangements.

Four Winds Chassis
The Thor Four Winds uses one of the most popular and reliable chassis for Class C RVs; the Ford E-Series chassis. All models of the Four winds come standard with this chassis; however, there are several floor plans where a Chevrolet chassis can be ordered as an option.
On the 31-foot models, you get an enhancement that will give you a smoother ride. That is the SmoothTECH ride enhancement by MORryde.
The engine mated to this chassis is the 7.3L V8 that will crank out 325 HP and 450 lb-ft of torque. The trailer hitch is rated at 8,000 lbs which is suitable for towing a Jeep, boat, or trailer.
We recommend no more than 5,000 lbs maximum towing weight. Check with your dealer and know your weights if you are towing more.
Overall I like the use of this chassis by Thor. It’s a well-constructed, reliable chassis that will give you many years of use and a comfortable ride.
Exterior
The exterior of the Four Winds is typical of most Class C RVs. Nothing fancy when it comes to graphics or design, but it does the job well. Storage is one thing you’ll find the Four Winds has plenty of. A power awning lets you enjoy the outdoors with ease.

The exterior comprises a welded tubular aluminum roof and a sidewall cage. The roof, walls, and floors are vacuum-bonded and laminated with block foam insulation.
The one-piece fiberglass front cap is a feature we like. You are seeing more Class C manufacturers using a one-piece as it eliminates a seam that could cause water or separation issues down the line.

Interior
The interior is lovely and very well appointed for an affordable Class C like the Four Winds. Multiple living arrangements will appeal to many. From jackknife sofas to plush theater seating, you will surely find a seating arrangement to suit your taste.
One interior design feature that will appeal to tall folks is the 84-inch interior ceiling height. Finding this amount of height in a Class C RV is not always easy.
You’ll find residential-style vinyl flooring and a hard vinyl ceiling. One feature I like is the ceiling ducted air conditioning system. I prefer the air vents to be on the ceiling rather than the floor. But that’s just my preference.
Several design features are model-specific. Those include a cabinet package with black hardware, faucets, and pressed laminate countertops.
You’ll find standard features in the kitchen area, such as a large stainless single bowl stainless steel sink and a single handle faucet and sprayer.
A kitchen waste basket and accent lighting are standard features on all models.
Many other features are model-specific. These include a double-door refrigerator, upgraded recessed 3-burner gas cooktop, range hood with light, convection microwave, solid surface countertops in the kitchen, and a flip-up countertop extension for added counter space.
Bedroom and Bathroom
One of the most important areas in an RV is the bedroom and the bathroom. You are going to spend a fair amount of time in the bedroom, so it needs to be comfortable.
The bathroom is also important and needs to be well designed and offer a good amount of room to do the things you need to do.
The Four Winds offer various sleeping arrangements that should appeal to most prospective buyers. Here is a list of what you’ll find depending on the model:

As you can see from the list above, finding an arrangement perfect for you and your family won’t be too difficult.
The bathroom on all but the smallest Four Winds is quite useable. Like most bathrooms in a Class C RV, you’ll find just enough space not to feel too cramped.
Features include a foot flush toilet, skylight in the shower, curved shower curtain, or shower glass door, depending on model, a shower-miser hot water recycling system, and a 12-volt attic fan, also dependent on model.
Overall I find the bedroom and bathroom design and features very acceptable.
The Cockpit
Driving a Four Winds is a pleasure due to the features that make the cockpit comfortable and accessible. A standard feature is the 7-inch Touchscreen Dash Radio with backup monitors and compatible with Google Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
On the Ford chassis only, you have audio and camera controls which lets you control both without taking your hands off the steering wheel.

Owner Reviews
The Thor Four Winds is a mixed bag of ratings regarding owner reviews. According to RVinsider, the overall rating is 3.5 stars. It gets a good rating on the floorplan but a low rating on overall quality and factory warranty.
There are quite a few Four Winds owners who have given it an excellent rating in 2022. They haven’t encountered any problems and enjoy the features, driveability, and floor plans.
Four Winds Review Summary
Overall I think this is a very nice Class C motorhome. What I like about it is the available floorplans, especially the twin-bed floor plan. I like the Ford chassis as it is a proven reliable chassis.
Being an affordable RV, I’m impressed with the features available, even on the basic models. However, the price can quickly increase if you opt for models with premium features. For many, the premium features are worth it.
For many owners, quality issues have been a problem, whereas others haven’t encountered any issues or minor issues that have been resolved quickly.
If you are interested in the Four Winds, I recommend you do additional research, talk to owners, and, if possible, rent one for several days to get familiar with this motorhome.
