What are the Best RV Apps? Here is my list of the 10 best mobile apps for RVers, that will help you plan your next RV trip. These apps are all available on the iPhone, Android or are completely web-based. Let’s get started with my Top 7 Best RV Apps.

Best RV Trip Planner App

Without a doubt, RV LIFE Trip Wizard is the go-to app for planning your RV trip. RV Wizard allows you to plan a safe route for your RV trip and will visually show campgrounds, gas stations, and any point of interest along your planned route.

Their campground database includes over 20,000 campgrounds with lots of information about each campground such as type of hookup, Wi-Fi info, amenities, etc.

RV Wizard lets you customize your route based on the height of your RV. It allows you to avoid low clearance, propane restriction, steep grades, and weight limitations.

One feature I like is that it allows you to calculate the cost of your trip, including fuel and campground fees.

Best RV Navigation App

RV LIFE Trip Wizard above also has an included RV navigation app that works really well, and is part of the RV LIFE Pro suite that includes Trip Wizard. It provides GPS navigation custom-tailored to your RV weight and height limitations. It features turn-by-turn directions and includes both voice and lane guidance. You can download route maps in order to be able to use it when you don’t have a cellular connection.

Best of all, the mobile app can navigate the trips you plan in RV LIFE Trip Wizard on your laptop or tablet, making it far easier to use for planning than the small screen on the phone. For those with iPads that have a dedicated SIM card and cellular plan, you can even navigate on the large iPad screen. The RV LIFE app is also Apple CarPlay certified.

Best Boondocking App

With the increased popularity of boondocking in recent years, several boondocking apps and websites have sprung up. If a website is more to your liking check out Freecampsites.net. It’s one of the better sites out there. For the best boondocking app I recommend iOverlander. It’s a great app with a nice uncluttered design.

Best RV Leveling App

One of the best RV apps for leveling your RV is the LevelMate PRO app, which is the app used with the LevelMatePRO wireless vehicle leveling system.

The app comes in two flavors, PRO and PRO+. The difference between the apps is very minor. Personally, I’d stick to the PRO.

This RV leveling app connects to the device using Bluetooth and makes use of the smartphone’s 3-xis high-resolution accelerometer. It is available on iOS and Android.

Best RV Campground App

RV Parks and Campgrounds is an Apple iOS and Android app that has a database of over 40,000 RV parks and campgrounds in the United States, Mexico, and Canada.

The app content is community-driven with users leaving reviews of campgrounds and RV parks they visit.

Maps included in the app show nearby landmarks. One drawback of the app is that it doesn’t have nightly rates for the places listed in the app. With that aside, it is a great app and very useful.

Best RV Friendly Gas Station App

Rebranded from Pilot Flying J to myRewards Plus app this application helps you find Flying J gas stations near you and also lets you earn rewards. With this app you can find Flying J gas stations that have RV fueling lanes, overnight parking, propane refills, and RV dumps.

In addition, the app lets you earn points for fuel discounts, discounted dumping fees, and other promotions and deals. You can find the iOS version here and the Android version.

Best RV Checklist App

The best RV checklist app I recommend is the Ultimate RV Checklist. This RV checklist app is very well designed and easy to use. It was created by RVers to help with tearing down, setting up, and move your camper from one campground to another.

It has pre-built checklists that are easy to use and can be customized by the user. You can also create your own list and upload images for personalization. The app is available for Apple iOS and Android.

Final Thoughts

There are several RV apps that will make your life easier. The ones I listed above are great apps and are all very well-designed, affordable, and very useful. Keep in mind apps get updated regularly so make sure you are always running the latest version.
