Did you know the state of Washington was named after our First President, George Washington? Not only that but Washington State is the largest producer of hops, spearmint oil, apples, and pears among other produce.
In addition to many wineries, it is home to several professional sports teams, several well-known companies, and excellent educational institutions.

#1. The Space Needle
No visit to the State of Washington would be complete without a visit to the Space Needle in Seattle. The Space Needle is one of the most popular attractions in the State and is considered by many to be the symbol of the State.
The structure was built for the 1962 World’s Fair and at the time it was erected it was the tallest structure in the US west of the Mississippi. To get to the top of the Space Needle you need to take the elevator which cruises to the top at maximum speed 10 miles per hour. The observation deck lets you see the entire Seattle skyline, Mount Rainer if it’s not cloudy, and other mountain ranges in the State.

#2. Pike Place Market
One of the coolest places we have visited in Seattle is Pike Place Market. Originally opened in 1907 it is where consumers and farms can buy and sell their produce and products. If you are looking for fresh produce including fantastic seafood this is the place to go.
Whether you are looking for specialty foods, imported products, books, crafts stores, baked goods, and just want to eat at an excellent restaurant you are sure to find it at Pike Place Market.
#3. Museum of Pop Culture
MoPOP is a museum dedicated to pop culture. It was founded by Microsoft co-founder Paul Allen. This museum is packed with exhibits, interactive activity stations, sound sculptures, and other educational resources.
The building itself is 140,000 square feet and was designed by Frank O. Gehry and houses several galleries and one of the largest LED screens in the world.
#4. Chihuly Garden and Glass
This exhibit is located in the Seattle Center area and it showcases the glasswork of Dale Chihuly. The exhibit features 3 sections: the Garden, the Glasshouse, and the Interior Exhibit in addition to a 90-seat café with added outdoor dining.
It also features a 5—seat multi-use theater. One of the more spectacular attraction is the 100-foot suspended glass sculpture located in the Glasshouse. It was designed with the help of architect Owen Richards. The sculpture was awarded a LEED silver certification.

#5. Mt. Rainier National Park
One of the most beautiful parks in Washington, Mount Rainier offers breathtaking views, exquisite waterfalls, and alpine meadow. Mt. Rainier climbs to 14,410 feet above sea level. Most of the time due to the cloudy condition it practically impossible to see the peak.
There is an active volcano and the peak is the most glaciated in the US. It spawns 5 major rivers. Plenty of wildlife to see and many hiking trails make this an excellent destination for your RV rental.

#6. Olympic National Park
Diverse is the trademark of Olympic National Park due to its range in elevation and precipitation. Almost 1 million acres, the park is host to vast wilderness, various ecosystems, including glacier-capped mountains, rain forest, and over 70 miles of coastline, plus thousands of years of human history.
Several destinations within the park should be on your list such as Deer Park, Elwha, Hurricane Ridge, Sol Duc Valley just to name a few.
#7. Lake Pleasant RV Park
Lake Pleasant RV Park is a 111-spot RV park is in the City of Bothell which is just a few minutes from Seattle. It allows you to be close enough to Seattle to visit the Space Needle, Snoqualmie Falls, Pike Place Market, and many more local Seattle attractions.
The 111 sites are all paved with full hookups and have room for slide-outs. There is fishing, trails, rec hall, activities planned by management, Wi-Fi access, restroom, and showers. Also, there are laundry facilities and a self-service camper wash.
#8. Alderwood RV Express
If the Spokane area is where you are headed then the town of Mead, just a few minutes away, has Alderwood RV Express.
This RV park can accommodate several types of RVs including tent trailers. It has 80 sites that have full hookups and plenty of room for slideouts.

#9. Washington State Fair
The Washington State Fair is held in Puyallup about 10 miles southeast of Tacoma. The fair is held annually during August and September and last 20 days.
It is considered to be one of the largest fairs in the world. You’ll find great food, awesome rides, and top-notch performers. It is fun for the entire family.
#10. Washington State International Kite Festival
If you love kites than this is the festival for you. One of the largest kite festivals in the United States. It is held in Long Beach, WA, and is also known as the Long Beach Kite Festival. It takes place annually in August and lasts for one week. Over 10,000 attendees show up to watch to fly their kites.
#11. Washington Brewers Festival
This annual event for beer lovers and local beer breweries the Washington Brewers Festival is held at King’s County Marymoor Park. It is a family-friendly event where attendees can try out over 500 beers from over 100 local breweries.
Food truck and music is also found at this festival. For those who don’t drink beer, they will find wine and cider.
