Winnebago Era Interior Design and Features

The interior design of the Era is something to marvel at. They have packed quite a bit of luxury into its Class B van and it shows. Let’s start with the cab and work our way back.

The cab is very comfortable and well-designed. It features creature comforts and high-tech accessories.

In the cab, you have an MBUX touchscreen infotainment center with navigation, an interactive voice interface, a Wi-Fi hotspot, and a rear camera. The touchscreen is huge at 10.25 inches.

But wait there’s more…

The inside features tinted windows, a cool touch screen systems panel USB charging ports just to name a few.

The ERA is available in 3 distinctive floor plans. They are:

  • 70X – This floor plan sleeps 2 people, but has seating for up to 7 people. it’s the same length as the other plans. It features a driver-side galley, wet bath and powered rear sofa/bed.

What is the Winnebago Era Warranty?

The warranty on the Era is a 12-month/24,000-mile basic limited warranty.

I give this warranty a thumbs-down. For a Class B campervan with a price tag starting at $204K, I find this warranty very limited in length. Winnebago should consider going above and beyond with at least 3-year and 36,000 miles.

Review Sources and Comments

For consumer reviews on the Winnebago Era, I searched on PissedConsumers.com. Many of the reviews were several years old. Unfortunately, the reviews were not very complimentary of the Era.

Issues reports included issues with batteries, generators, brakes, oil problems, etc. The reviews quite honestly were not very kind. Some were definitely Winnebago-related while others were dealers with poor customer service.

On the RVInsider review site, owner comments were more favorable. There were some issues reported however the most part those who bought one liked it. Many of the reviews were more recent as well.

Winnebago Era Review Final Thoughts

Overall the Winnebago Era is a good Class B RV. It has an excellent chassis with a drive-train that performs really well. The interior is classy as it should be for a camper at this price.

Owner complaints however are common so that is something to consider if you are interested in buying this camper.
